I vote that these guys tour! When Warren puts together a band to play a set of ABB, he sure does it right. This is smoking!

Imagine if Dickey could have joined them?.

Absolutely over the top.

Jack and Warren have always been great together as have Chuck and Warren. Well Warren and every one. LOL. But those two seem to bring out something special and the combo with him is off the charts. Would definitely travel to see this lineup.

Oh Lord - Don't add Gregg, Butch or Jaimoe. With them an album will never come out.

This lineup from New Years could put out an album every year with that talent. And likely would in a fantasy world. I think it would shake Warren up a bit for some great songs and Jack/Chuck write too. A sort of energy drink for the Mule. Some of my favorite Govt Mule shows were with Chuck after Woody had passed. Sat close enough to Chuck twice that if I reached forward I could have touched keys. Mind blowing. Jack is obvious and has an awesome chemistry with Warren. I have said for years how Warren raises others to a higher level and that the two guys who seem to have that effect on Warren are Jack and Chuck. Sort of a dream band for me personally.

Someone start one of those fun raising things. I will sign up for the CD, DVD, vinyl, concert, shirt, hat, poster and kitchen sink. The Mule x 10.

How could they say no if we raise the money? 😉

It really was THAT good. Jack really did bring some of Dickey's tone and spirit. Jack and Chuck are such amazing musicians and were perfect choices for the material. Matt Abts played percussion not drums and was off-stage for several tunes. Paul Riddle and the second drummer were spectacular, keeping the freight train running full steam ahead.

I would definitely travel to see these guys play again...

Jealous beyond belief. Tried convincing the Mrs to celebrate MYE this year. Almost had her and then blew out my shoulder and off work. While I was off, they scheduled an unrelated operation for me. Already not working so it made sense. This ended the dream.

Started to feel a bit better by Christmas but the cost last minute was nuts for a show and Heather gave me the "you go ahead on your own" line. This is a very confusing line with my wife. Most times it means "go ahead and have fun". Sometimes it means "let's see if you are dumb enough to believe this" or "let's see how selfish you are?". I suspected the later two were the case this time.

Now I am kicking myself for not realizing that this was one of those male "who gives a sh*t which one it is" moments. New Year Resolution - don't be an idiot. Time machine please.

Not to worry, you'll probably get a TTB show in your neck of the woods. My decision was only made after they announced the guests. That's one advantage of living near NYC, but still not a cheap one. It helps that my wife went willingly. How could your wife not enjoy seeing Chuck and jack?

How about an Allmule/TTB Tour? 😛 I'm a dreamer. TTB loves it here as they do great business. Haven't had the Mule in Ottawa ever despite my efforts. Every time I have someone's ear, the Mule goes to Europe for the summer and bookings don't work. Perhaps Derek could convince Warren to stick around one year.

Anyone have Superman's number? I need him to do one of those fly around the globe and turn back time things.

Thought all three sets were great but the ABB set was over the top incredible. I had forgotten how sweet Pearson's tone and tasteful timing is. He is incredible as was Leavell and the entire band who played as if they have been a polished unit for years. Nobody has mentioned Jorgen Carlsen on bass. He was also incredible and seemed to be having the time of his life playing that ABB material. Abts also looked like he was having a blast switching up roles and playing percussion. IMO all three sets separately were worth the price they charged for those tickets but all three together made it feel like I was stealing from them by the midpoint of the ABB set. LOL! Then I thought the show was over after the scorching 'Whipping Post' and almost cut out only to be blown away by an epic 30 minute 'Mountain Jam'. Just an incredible night of music and far more than your money's worth in value. 5 hours of excellent music performed by amazing musicians in the perfect setting. 14th NYE in a row for me at the Beacon with the Mule and they always deliver a special evening.

Do they present you with something for your 15th year? 😉 At least it makes it easy to remember where you were.

I was surprised, but both the Beacon NYE shows are already up on Mule Tracks, with a discount if you buy both.
