The Allman Brothers Band - True Gravity (New England Dodge Music Center, 06-25-2000)

Sounds good. Derek and Jimmy play it a little like Warren and Dickey do on Seven Turns but add their own cool touches too. This tour started in Richmond, Virginia and Butch wrote on this site after a few shows it was going well and it almost didn't happen. Butch indicated if Jaimoe hadn't agreed to vote to put Dickey off the tour, they would have refunded all the tickets that had been sold and quit because he and Gregg were not going out with Dickey this time.
It is odd in a way. Warren and Dickey wrote this song at Dickey's house in Florida with Dickey mostly using Berry Oakley's Fender tractor bass Dickey kept on one of his walls. But both men were not with the band for this tour. A few years later Berry's son came to visit Dickey and he took Berry Jr. into the room and took the bass off the wall and said this should be yours so take it.
