Tedeschi Trucks/Jack in Chattanooga last night

Made the drive up from Bham yesterday for the show at the Tivoli Theatre. My first time there and what a great place to see a show. A mini Fox/Beacon/Saenger/Alabama theatre.
Jack - onstage right at 8:00 w trio: Jack, hammond organ, drums. 45 minute set. His original music, plus a cover of "one you might know" as he started into Blue Sky.
TTB onstage right at 9:15. I think of the 4-5 times I've seen TTB this was perhaps the most "rock and roll" show of them all. A little less Susan vocally, although she took her usual 4-6 guitar solos. Mike sang on 3-4 cuts.
Jack came back out and eventually joined Derek as they noodled into Little Martha, which went straight into The Storm. Certainly a highlight moment.
Did a mostly complete version of Santana's Soul Sacrifice which this band just kills - horns and drums and guitars everywhere!
One song encore w no horns or backup singers - Statesboro Blues.
Off stage 11:30.
Real fun night, very enthusiastic sold out crowd.

Thanks! Not much of a TTB fan here, but it sounds like a wonderful show especially with Jack opening and sitting in.

Jack's presence was a huge reason I drove up, that and I've wanted to see a show at the Tivoli for year.s
I'm sorta w you on TTB. I've always said about them: 1/3 I love, 1/3 I like, and 1/3 is either over my head or not my thing. Last night 50% I loved, 1/4 was ok, and only 1/4 was not my thing!

here we go now, The Storm last night. Video missed the little bit of Little Martha but....

I was unsure about TTB, then I saw them this past summer and was very impressed with them. Can't wait to see them again and looking forward to what the future holds for them. This video is not a strong representation of the band.

Have seen TTB at the Tivoli 4 times now. We go to shows there all the time. In the past 2 years since they changed management they have really upped their game on booking great talent.

Glad to read that you had a good time. I am hoping for some recordings of these past couple of shows.

TTB were on fire! This was my 4th time seeing them, and was by far the best. It was very loose, free, and easy going. They got off on a few Col. Bruce-esque tangents into outer space, then brought it right back home, like they'd never left the groove! They did 3 or 4 Derek Trucks Band staples, which featured Mike on vocals, and I thought the roof might pop off the place on "I wish I knew", the other 2 singers were going nuts on it, riffing off each other, it was really good. It was probably the most I've heard out of the bassist, he seemed to control and change direction of some of the jams and grooves.
Jack P's opening set was as good as ever, he can do no wrong. After he did "Blue Sky" the crowd gave an emotional standing ovation.
Great night in Chattanooga.
