Back to the Beacon!!!
I missed the TTB last year, and I don't think I have been to the Beacon since the ABB!!!
The stars converged; after a seeming downpour of disappointed posts on Facebook saying that the presale TTB tix had all disappeared, someone posted that more were online. It has been a while since I felt the mad rush of flipping through ticketmaster charts and graphs , desperately trying to calculate cost versus location etc. I ended up with 3 tickets toward the back of the Orchestra - being under the underhang is not great, but being at a TTB show and being at the Beacon again IS great, so I'm pumped!!
With the ABB, I had always figured I had a better shot of getting good seats on a weeknight, like a Tuesday, so I always had to drag my tired tail to work the next day hurting. It will be nice to go to a Saturday night show finally.

Tedeschi Trucks Band have confirmed their annual return to New York’s Beacon Theatre for this fall, when the band will play six shows at the famed venue, including two shows featuring special guest openers.
TTB kick off their residency on Sept. 27 and 28, followed by an Oct. 1 show featuring openers Capital Sun Rays—featuring North Mississippi Allstars guitarist Luther Dickinson, Amy Helm, Birds of Chicago and Grahame Lesh (Helm and Birds of Chicago took park in Dickinson’s recent Sisters of the Strawberry Moon record, Solstice)—and an Oct. 2 performance with support from John Moreland. The band will then wrap up the Beacon run with two more solo nights on Oct. 4 and 5.
Sure wish they'd do it in March. I'd go every year.
