Here's an awe-inspiring version of John Coltrane's "India", followed by more incredible guitar by Derek on "The Storm" (Warner Theater):

While I was heading out from my hotel to the Warner, I remember thinking, I sure would like to hear a little "Love Supreme" one night.

I didn't recognize "India". I've got a decent knowledge of Coltrane's music, but certainly not a deep knowledge. I'm still learning my Coltrane. I do think I heard some bars of "Love Supreme" during the first or second night. I think it was the first night. I'm going to have to go back and listen to those shows.

I sure do wish this band would release official copies of their shows.

There are several great versions of India, as well as other tunes on Coltrane Live at the Vanguard.
I think it's 4 disc box set, worth having if you're a fan

I caught a version last night using Rhapsody. I know there are a bunch of music services out there but, for new releases or albums in general, I really like Rhapsody.

That was a wild ride! Thanks for posting!

That version of "India" is a good reminder of how the ensemble playing of the ABB came out of their jazz roots.

The jamming after "The Storm" shows how Derek can drive even a massive band, make it stop on a dime, change direction at will.
