So I saw the post on the kreutsmann book and am reading it. I thought we might want to start a good summer reading list that is music focused. could be new books or old classics that may have slipped by or needs a re-read.

I'll start it off with one that I'm reading now: Willie Nelson's, "It's a Long Story." It is one of the most conversational autobiographies I have ever read. Whereas Neil Youngs jumped all over the place and was essentially a big promo for Pono, Willie's is a great, well-written book.

any others?

1. Willie Nelson: It's a Long Story

I was excited to get Kreutzmann's book, but I'm only a bit over half done and finding it hard to continue to pick up and get back into.

I cannot say the same about recent books by Joe Perry, Pete Townshend, Keith Richards and the Patti Smith book - I couldn't hardly put those books down until they were done.

I am re-reading my copy of "The Hammond Organ: Beauty in the B" by Mark Vail while I wait for my copy of "Beale Street dynasty : sex, song, and the struggle for the soul of Memphis" by Preston Lauterbach to arrive.
