I was at the Madison Square Garden show on Thursday. The sound was terrible... thunderous bass that all but drowned out the rest of the music and problems with the mix of the different keyboards (Stevies's and others) and vocals throughout the show.

Stevie had lots of help with vocals, giving the impression that he was conserving his vocal energy. Some of the performance was relatively uninspired.

I would attribute a lot of the problems to the first night of the tour, and don't know why they chose a major market like NY to begin a tour for an artist who tours infrequently and would need some time to get in the groove.

That said, we still had a fabulous time. When he was on, he was really on he fed on the high energy of the crowd. Youo won't be disappointed.
