It's such a shame he was killed in his prime. Same with Duane and Berry.Â
I loved hearing blues rock on the radio again when SVR broke through. I went to see the band because of that and finding out Reece was now in the band.Â
A lot of energy from the stage that night. They definitely left a trail of smoke on the stage.Â
SRV looked to be sweating more than the drummer. They came to play for sure.Â

 Â
Lenny is a favorite SVR of mine. Instrumental and just a turned down electric guitar all the way through but very nice if you enjoy electric guitar.Â
I think he wrote this for his then wife who managed to scrape up $350.00 they wanted for this very guitar at a Pawn shop or music store. It wasn't his number one after he could afford other guitars but apparently he always used the guitar on this composition.

Â
SRV and Triple Tripping Trouble live with two smokers..Â

Hiram Guitar Bullock who played with SRV above, is backing James Brown here on the David Letterman show.
Â
I thought I use to see him in Paul Shaffer's band on Letterman.Â
Â
Sadly Hiram Guitar Bullock died in 2008 of throat cancer in New York City. He played every type of music there is for years on the David Letterman Show.Â

Here is a blues band similar to SVR one of my first cousins saw two years ago. He sent me the link for this song recorded live this morning. I think they are good. Check it out and go see them if you can.Â

Don't lie to me!! Here is Albert King with SRV and this is some fantastic blues singing and playing by the great ALBERT KING 👑!!!!
Â
Don't lie to me! Wasn't that fantastic?;
