Steve Hackett 9/26/2019 Ridgefield CT

A very well-received and well played joyous night of music. I guess Hackett just played the Beacon. Tonight he packed Ridgefield Playhouse and it was a pleasantly raucous crowd. Steve was in good humor and was a riot at the mic.
First set was celebrating 40th anniversary of the "Spectral Mornings" LP from 1979, Steve's 3rd solo disc I believe. We got "Everyday," "The Virgin and the Gypsy," instrumental "Tiger Moth," the title song, the song about the flower blooming everywhere, and "Clocks," possibly others, plus a few off the new disc: I know we heard titles like Under the Sun, Beasts in Our Time, and that Parapets and Other Architectural Configurations. Great playing, nice loud bass, and the drummer got a longer solo than I have ever seen with Hackett. Badass.
Second set: the "Selling England" album start to finish, plus the outtake "Deja Vu," and then "Dance on a Volcano." Encore: Los Endos, with that crazy Hackett song intro. Great show. Top notch band and Steve at his peak.

a short clip from "Beasts in our Time," a new Steve Hackett song, maybe 3 minutes

the sax solo / jam from "I Know What I Like" :
