I saw them a few times and Fagen/Becker surrounded themselves with the best musicians they could find, but they were the ones who wrote the songs. I see tons of cover bands, but rarely do they cover the Dan!

Several years ago when they played the Beacon and performed the entire album Royal Scam, I had front row seats. That was cool enough but when they started Kid Charlemagne and out walked Larry Carlton, I knew it was going to be a special night!!
I saw them do the Royal Scam in the Chicago Theatre. I knew it was going to be a special night when I turned around and saw Warren sitting two rows behind me.
