This guy put up this hot take reaction yesterday of One Way Out at Fillmore East. Kinda interesting. He does all kinds of reviews of classic rock.

He was impressed. And he should be. There isn't another group of musicians who could have played that particular song any better than what we just heard. Not Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, Robert Plant, Jeff Beck, Don Henley or anyone who was later in this very band...not Dan Toler, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Allen Woody etc. What we just heard was perfect. The best that particular song could be sung, the best slide, lead guitar, bass and drums. Pure Allman Brothers. Exactly how the ABB sounds.

Tell me. Just what could Warren or Derek or Clapton do on guitar that would top what we just heard by Dickey and Duane? They couldn't top it because what we just heard was as good as it gets man...as good as it gets. It can't be topped.

X2 indeed! wonderful post (both of them Grin ), can hardly tell it’s from a different gig than TNMore & the rest of the Fillmore stuff - Dickey’s tone, his blazing solo, as you said the whole performance
