Bummer the museum is closing, never been but sounded like a really cool place. As most of you know, Duane Allman's SG was bought at auction and put on display at Songbirds in Chattanooga TN. It has already been removed. No official word on where it's next stop will be.

That is sad. Lots of stores, restaurants, museums and businesses were unable to survive the pandemic.

I remember Dickey playing that SG guitar in 1970 along with an old Strat on some shows or tunes before he moved to several Les Pauls before settling on Goldie. What a tone Goldie had.

Being a Chattanoogan this breaks my heart. They had two different music venues at Sonbirds a small on upstairs in the museum where you would see shows while surrounded by hundreds of great guitars and a bigger one down stairs.

During the short time it was opened I probably saw 50+ shows there with artists like Jack Pearson, Billy Cobham, Blues Traveler, Rival Sons, Robben Ford, Trigger Hippy, AJ Ghent, Devon Allman, Nick Lowe and many more.
