Some Sweet Jazz In NYC w/Stephane Wrembel 5/27/19 & Frank Vignola's Hot Jazz Trio 5/13/19

Some nice guitar work by some of the best Jazz Guitarists out there today. Both Frank Vignola and Stephane Wrembel paid homage to Django in NYC. I watch, learn, and enjoy the fluidity on the fretboard. I'm a casual player, but these Gents (& Lady) are phenomenal. Precision and beauty. Frank was at the Loft and Stephane was downstairs 2 weeks later. I had never seen either artist before so it's tough to label the tunes (Vinny Raniolo did guest appear w/Tommy Emmanuel at a prior show). Frank was all over the place with his set list and there's about 5 tunes I still need to label, but I may never be able to. He plays tunes by everyone and instrumental interpretations of songs by Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, and others aren't in my wheelhouse. Stephane is the new King of French Gypsy Jazz.
I love the music and to see the chord, position, and octave choices they use gives me a little education as to what sounds can be achieved on the guitar. Good stuff, Much beauty out there.
