Smokin Mule Summer Tour 2016

Kicked off last night 8/11 in Portland Maine. So glad I went. I enjoyed Blackberry Smoke more than I thought I would. Only complaint is that the didn't play very long. Mule was on fire. Warren seemed to be glad for the chance to power through some classic Mule. Played one decent length set. Encore was a great cover of Can't You See with lead singer of Blackberry Smoke.
Good review and some clips on Jambase, nice to see susea get some love for her vid.

plenty of old school mule at the jersey shore. great versions of mother earth, no need to suffer, rocking horse and left coast groovies. a epic encore of cortez with 2 guys from blackberry smoke.

Hear a boot yesterday on DeepJam.
Cannot wait until I hear them 9/30 near my hometown.

Thanks for posting. Can't wait for this show! I'm hoping they'll play lots of tunes from the first album when they hit Eugene- especially Left Coast Groovies- the perfect song for the Oregon fans. BTW, the new Mule Tel-Star Sessions is awesome- alternate takes on classic Woody songs from the first album.

It's Mule Day!!!
Looks like some rough weather for us though.

I'm going to the Pittsburgh show Thursday. About what time has Blackberry Smoke been coming on...and Mule? We will have some NFL preseason football traffic and parking to deal with at this venue Stage AE so close to Heinz Field.

Here's the "Cortez" encore from Asbury Park:

Blacberry Smoke came on right after 7.
They played an hour.
We then had to evacuate the venue due to storms. Two and a half hours later Mule came on and played one set until just after midnight.

Mule kicked ass last night! Saw Warren with the Ashes to Dust band, but hadn't seen Mule for a few years. Awesome! Lots and lots of old school stuff, a cool Etta James I'd Rather Go Blind and 2 ABB songs to close it out in Statesboro and Blue Sky!
Did miss all but the encore of Blackberry Smoke due to football traffic.
