While not 100% unique in this aspect, Rush certainly defies the norm with rock bands that have been around for a similar time span in the lack of drama, premature death, drug/alcohol abuse, constant personnel shifting etc.

I know they aren't complete moral or legal angels, but the comments by Gene Simmons on 'Beyond the Lighted Stage' about one hotel, filled with some sort of female sports team (can't recall) and finding the Rush boys all in their rooms reading or something, ha, ha - reminds me of the movie Slap Shot and Paul Newman finding the Hanson brothers in their room playing electronic hockey.
