That is a very good number. At first I thought it may be s song by the guy who did the music for the film Arthur. "When you get caught between the moon and New York city....la de da etc etc."

Christopher Cross figures somewhere along the line re ownership for a short time of one of Duane’s prized guitars - CC might’ve passed it along to Graham Nash at one point maybe - unsure, but his name is mentioned anyway
I like Ride Like The Wind, the one he did w/Michael McDonald - great lyrics & music

Keith pounding that old Brown Sugar riff for the zillion time. The Stones are such a boring band, totally overrated. No creativity since Exile On Main Street. Money for nothing...

The noise in the video really takes away from trying to listen to the song.

"Keith pounding that old Brown Sugar riff for the zillion time. The Stones are such a boring band, totally overrated. No creativity since Exile On Main Street. Money for nothing..."

First off, it's an outtake from a session just a year after "Exile." It didn't meet the Stones' standards, so they didn't release it, but fans want it.

It is not the Brown Sugar riff, but it is indeed Keith slamming on a suspended chord, and that is a trick he uses a lot, including on "Exile on Main Street."

The Stones did reinvent themselves in the latter half of the 70s. "Miss You" is nothing like anything they did in 1962-1972. After "Exile," they tried their hand at funk and reggae-flavored numbers.

It's only rock'n'roll, but.....

^ Thanks for pointing that out - I had no idea; mostly from slummin in whipping post:

Yeah so on Keef , just an advance aoplogy and explanation of why I won't post in the thread of him dying - because I refuse to believe such nonsense. Keefs don't die.

missed the thread about him dying - certainly no need for apology/explanation anyway
I liked how Corky Laing put it in the book he collaborated on w/Leslie West

“As the road goes ever on, so does Keith, still coming up with the riffs leaving those who try to keep up with him by the wayside””

That was written 17 long years ago too in their 2003 book - & yep, Corky’s sentence still applies today Cool
