Blackmore's Night is definitely not a hard rock act but I credit it with making Ritchie an even better player. He started to use fingers as opposed to strictly a pick. Their albums are full of amazing guitar that I don't think many Ritchie fans ever really listened to.

I remember reading before Jon passed away he was interested in working with RB again. Wish that would have happened. Those guys had some great battles on stage. Jon was just as much as a beast RB.
There was talk of Mark III return. Sounded like mngt issues.

Yeah....It shows what he did to his playing in the last few years with the revisited Rainbow line up. More disciplined in away. He still has it no doubt. Hope to see more. Nothing planned for this summer though. Sigh....
