Just say a post on his Facebook page that Kim passed away on Tuesday 12-13. What a bummer.

Saw that too.  %^$& cancer.  Heck of an artist and I was fortunate to see Savoy Brown at a local blues festival.  Spun SB's Hell Bound Train cd while I was out and about.  Rock In Peace Kim!

Here is a live version of Poor Girl. Other guitarist is Dave Malachowski. He passed away back in September.

Could never understand why the Brothers never brought Kim in to

play at the Beacon. He lived in New York state. I can only assume

that it was something personal. Maybe they asked him....he did play

with the Mule at least once.

@darylm I was a fan too. It's another big loss to music and guitar player fans.

It is interesting Kim never sat in with the Allman Brothers.

I can think of many others whom you would think would be an ABB sit in candidate that never did.

I once asked Kim (via the magic of the internet) about the Savoy/ABB/Van Morrison

concert in 1970. He replied immediately that Duane was pissed that the Allmans

weren't headlining. I wonder if his book will ever see the light of day now and will

that story be in it?

Here is a full Savoy Brown show from 1995. Pete McMahon on vocals and harp.
