RIP. Jimmy Nalls

This year has s really sucking,!Thanks for the music!

Jimmy Nalls was possibly the most under-rated, under-appreciated guitar talent who ever lived. His style was more in the sublime-jazz range. Lots of very tasty licks - always serving the song and music. His playing was nowhere near as incendiary in style as Duane or Dickey, but I honestly believe he had chops that eluded those two.
I had the good fortune to see him twice - once with Sea Level (Davis Causey-Randall Bramblett era) and with the Night Hawks. He was, as they say - all that.
I doubt that there was a nicer guy in the world. Upon his last CD release/fund-raiser, I bought said disc and included a little extra with the payment. I was surprised and delighted to receive a hand written thank you note in the mail a few days later. I never met him, but I know he was a sweetheart.
Rest in peace, brother Jimmy.
