Warren knows all about how his guitars are set up. Devon and Duane apparently aren't gear hounds. But they have several wonderful guitars and amps. I had heard Gregg Allman owned about 30 guitars but Devon said it was 43 and they all belong to Devon now. I remember Warren talking about talking Gregg out of a Gibson ES-335.

Duane Betts' number one, Goldtop Dickey signature Les Paul, was played by Dickey for a few years in the early 2000s but Dickey never played it in the Allman Brothers. The Gibson ES-335 and the old road worn 1955 Fender Strat WERE played by Dickey alot in the Allman Brothers in the 90's. The ES-335 looked almost new when I saw it from down front in the 90's but when you see that Strat up close, the neck has a lot of wear and the body is worn up were your right arm touches it while playing. I saw it up close in 2006 at a Great Southern show. Dickey played slide with it on a couple of songs and it's a cool looking tobacco burst Strat. But man when you see it up close that guitar has been played alot by somebody since 1955. But that is good. Good guitars need to be played not in some collection.
