What a loss. Seriously, 2016 has been a shit-show—bowie, prince, cohen and now Sharon Jones.
Here is an excellent 4k recording of Sharon with Susan and Derek last year in Central Park. The opening lines of the Sam Cooke cover where Sharon and Susan share vocals give me goosebumps. Absolutely gorgeous -

I was there for that. Amazing show, this kicked off their joint Wheels of Soul Tour which I caught a few months later at Gathering of the Vibes.
This loss really sucks.
