Nice
I would add 16th Century Greensleeves - Death Alley Driver - Do You Close Your Eyes - Bring On The Night - Weiss Heim
Would add a half hour or so but well worth it. 😛
I stayed away from Purple as I know he wanted more Rainbow focus this time out.

I read somewhere that Ritchie acknowlegded that he misjudged the desire of his fans to hear Deep Purple songs and said he would drop most or all of them in order to replace them with Rainbow songs. I guess he changed his mind 😮 .

It looked like he dropped Highway Star and Perfect Strangers from last years set list and added All Night Long, Still I'm Sad and I Surrender to this years.
Not sure why they are only doing a limited run of dates again. I thought maybe they would expanded from last years handful of shows. Would like to hear them maybe rotate some songs. A lot of good tunes from the DIO and JLT era to be heard and played.

It looks like they brought out Russ Ballard out for this. He wrote, Since You Been Gone
Burn
Catch The Rainbow
Soldier Of Fortune

Russ Ballard wrote I, Surrender also. Surprised they didn't play them back to back and have him for both. Either way they sound great.

Huh, did not know that he wrote that also. I wonder if there was/is a connection between him and Blackmore, don't know much about Russ and his history in the music biz. Never have seen another guitar player on the stage with Ritchie except for this.
Deep Purple w/h George Harrison - Lucille (Sidney, 13/12/1984)
