QUIZ TIME: Who Am I?

Work is really slow today (can you tell?). SOOO.............
I played professional baseball for The Chicago Cubs and Brooklyn Dodgers. I played professional basketball for The Boston Celtics. I also was drafted by the NFL's Chicago Bears but never suited up for them.
I also had a very successful acting career, appearing in many TV series and films. My most famous TV role was as a widowed Father in a highly rated Western series which ran from 1958-1963. Re-runs still play on AMC and TV Land.
Who am I, and what was the famous TV series?

That sure didn't take long. Steadyhorse nailed it.

I was born in November, 1928, in Burbank, CA. Hollywood quickly knew I was going to be a star, and awarded my father manager an honorary Oscar in 1932 for my work in short films, which often appeared in theaters before a feature film. During WWII I frequently appeared on posters advertising war bonds and promoting national security. In the 1950's my fan club got it's own national TV show and many of it's members went on to become famous actors and musicians. In 1978 I got my own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I am still around and appear occasionally in feature films. Who am I?

Mickey Mouse

Yep.

I am an actor and the son of a famous actor. Somewhere along the line I turned into a sleazy self-centered douchebag who worries more about his own sexual gratification than about spreading the HIV virus to others, even the woman I was engaged to. Who am I?

Who else but the infamous Charlie Sheen? That was pretty easy though. If I think, I can come up with something harder than that.
