Question

Which ABB album do you prefer, Shades of 2 Worlds or Seven Turns. I was browsing Amazon after receiving a gift card and there was a big price difference between the 2 with Shades being 3/4 times the price. Thanks for any input.

Personally I’d go w/Shades - a lot to like about both albums, more to my ears w/Shades - the price difference actually ratios out pretty fairly, to this one listener

Save your money and get all of them together:

Hmmm. I thought that Epic stuff was out of print. Except for the complication album which I bought too.
Good Clean Fun, Seven Turns, End of the Line, Kind of Bird, Where It All Begins, Soulshine and maybe True Gravity, Change My Way of Living and Firing Line are the ABB songs that became famous as part of the ABB songbook after 1989.
I don't play it much but I'm okay with Peaking at the Beacon. Their worst selling new album. About 20,000 copies but Standback for example is nice. Great slide from Derek, great Dickey solo and Gregg singing.
Someone wrote when they saw the Dickey, Derek, Otiel lineup, Derek and Dickey didnt play well together. First time I saw that short lived lineup was in Las Vegas. Derek and Dickey were real tight and hot. The other two shows were similar. But Derek said later in an interview that some nights Dickey was playing his behind off and some nights he just couldn't bring it.

That Amazon 5-pack is a HUGE bargain. Jeez!!!
I do prefer Shades out of the two, but ya gotta get both. Grab that 5-pack.
