I was going thru some videos from last weekend and I liked this little Gibson Classic vs Fender Telecaster interplay and I started thinking of all the dueling guitarists I've seen over the years and it inspired me to start this thread, Seeing it originated the thought I'll start with this video from Sunday.
I'll put up another one or two if the inspiration hits me (and I already have a trove of candidates, I just need to locate the video). Please keep the commentary to a minimum and include a video in the majority of posts if not all?
There's many flavors and we all have our favorites, with that understanding I also implore good taste and keep the negative retorts to a minimum also. If any thoughts were to arise that is. Thanx

This was easier in my head? Initially I actually had a lot of southern rock in mind. I was thinking the dualing strings in Skynyrd's T For Texas which has always been a guitar anthem favorite of mine, but when I searched it with old Okie I found Steve was playing a Gibson as was Gary, And Allen was neither a Fender or Gibson. I had thoughts of Hughie (strat) & Billy (LesPaul), but though they tear it up, they don't really duel?
I went searching for some great Roy Buchanan Tele magic having at it and dug up some great old stuff on youtube of the Bill Graham PBS show of Roy that is WELL WORTH a peak. (Go to 1 minute mark and see his Tribute To Robert Johnson)
It's a great down homey documentary that has some great musical moments on it. Roy with Merle & a young Nils.
Still not the original intent which is more search trouble than it's worth, Over zealous on my part I suppose. A few things were Fender on Fender and Gibson on Gibson crimes? I Thought of old Eric & Jeff footage from the Secret Policeman's Ball, but Eh "Where am I goin'". So I'll just bow out gracefully and let it fade into the darkness with a throwback Thursday Magical flashback with a Fender and that same Gibson from the initial post (no duel, just fun tunes).

I don't have a vid....but for me Gibson makes guitars.....Fender takes 2 pieces of wood and connects them together with screws....... 😉 😮 😛 😛 ....jus kiddin
