Poor Man's Whiskey Does The Allman Brothers

Poor Man's Whiskey is a great Bluegrass/Americana outfit here in Northern California and they've been together for 18 years. Last night was their last show for awhile as they are not breaking up but going on an extended hiatus. This was only my second time seeing them.
As advertised their second set was ALL ABB and I thought they really nailed it. I never knew fiddle could transfer so well to ABB tunes but it sure did. At one point the bandleader (that's him singing Midnight Rider) said, "There are enough Grateful Dead tribute bands out there, aren't there? Someone needs to keep The Allman Brothers alive too." At another time he said, "The Allman Brothers are very important to this band and one of our major influences." So here are a couple of tunes. Besides what I'm posting they did Ramblin' Man (have it recorded), In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed (have it recorded), Ain't Wastin' Time No More, Whipping Post and Soulshine.

I like them. Modern bluegrass is not your grandfather's Flatt and Scruggs, Stanley Brothers, Bill Monroe and Reno and Smiley. Actually the late Don Reno probably could smoke Jessica or Whipping Post. Reno shines on Limehouse Blues on YouTube.
