The rare Derek & Jack combo has been brought up before, but I'm spinning "Mountain Jam" from Pine Knob and it is sublime. Jack definitely wasn't just playing the same old licks, and Ron Holloway adds some great sax when need be.

Got me to wondering if the rest of the 2004-2005 Instant Lives will ever become available again the way the Munck 2007-2014 digital downloads continue to be available. There are a number of 2003 tracks that are available on the Allman Brothers's own Youtube page from the recently re-released "Best of 2003" and the re-released 2004 Fox Box. Naturally the demand is less than it was back 10-15 years ago, but there are some great moments from those tours. Back when, I had to pick between the Pine Knob or Rosemont show and would love to add the Rosemont show today.

Most of the 2004 shows that were previously available from Instatnt Live are now available to be purchased from Nugs.net. I just checked over there and they have also added some 2006 shows and the 2009 Beacon Run.

And I will totally agree that the 2005 Pine Knob show is a must-hear. One of the best shows I have ever seen.

Awesome, never knew there was another spot to pick up some of these pre-Munck shows. Bummer that there are no 2005 shows available. Womp womp. But there are a bunch of other shows from other artists I'm going to check out.

I was at the show at Pine Knob and also at Rosemont Theater the night before. Those were the first I had seen Jack Pearson, and it was a pretty good introduction. Great stuff!
