Oteil w. Dead & Co: Pics, Review, Streams

Oteil really killing it with these guys, helping create a very positive energy and vibe. Very cool to watch.
A quick review of Dead & Company at Madison Square Garden:
Post right above that has more photos by Derek McCabe and Jay Blakesberg and live audio and video streams.

Good review Alan. On point! I could hear the "Backless" era Clapton referenced.
You say the show was "sold out". On the stream it seemed like there was a lot of room on the floor. I know the tickets were free. I'm interested to know what the crowd was like. Were you able to mill around outside before the show? They looked to me to be younger, but if I were cameraman, I would have been picking out the better looking folks as well.
Thoughts?

I went Sunday 11/1 at the Garden. The GA Pit was VERY crowded .......much different than the streamed night. The Garden did in fact sell out last Sat, Sun. The crowd on Sunday was quite eclectic. I noticed all ages including parents bringing their kids. The outside scene was 'reserved' in my mind. I was only directly in front of the Garden, but that scene was typical for a concert....I didn't see anything close to what I've seen at previous Dead, Further or etc shows ......

Thanks for the article Alan... I'm looking forward to this Friday the 13th in Columbus!

Yeah, that's a fair point about the sell out. It was officially full, but the floor did not look packed and I don't think it was quite a typical crowd. Last weekend, both shows were def. sold out.
I posted live audio and video streams a bunch of Blakesberg and McCabe photos here:

Listening back, it sounds as good as I thought except for the vocals...
