Does anyone know why the complete version of "One More Ride" was never released?

If I recall, Dickey & Gregg co-wrote the lyrics but were never satisfied with the final result.

It sounds a lot better as an instrumental. The lyrics are wordy and aren't that good. They don't fit the music.

True that but I thought the little shuffle jam that they do at the end was pretty cool.
