Good morning dear friends. This is Jerilyn, Kenny's friend. It is with VERY heavy heart that I announce Kenny's passing yesterday. I cannot give you any details other than I lost a dear friend. I want to say SPECIAL thank you to ALL that has helped him in whatever way, small or big. Those that gave donations to help him, or a kind word to help make him smile or prayers that helped him from day to day. Kenny wanted to be cremated. He didn't want a traditional funeral so a Memorial Service will be announced later & I will keep you all posted. If you would like to help his family with anything, please private message. I will post address shortly, if you would like to send cards of condolences. I will miss my friend. I will especially remember him on Halloween, his favorite holiday. 7/31 he would have been 60. Prayers please for his family / loved ones! God Bless
Kenny was the first person that messaged me when I came on this site. We lost a good generous dude.
Very sad to read this -- Kenny was one of the first real friends I made on this site -- we never met in person but 'talked' a lot about, & sent each other music -- he loved the psychedelia (esp. Plan 9 
), the ABB & everything in between -- rest in peace my friend

Sad to hear. I didn't know Kenny well, but he once lived in a town that I lived in as a kid. We talked about it every now and then. Condolences to his family and friends.
R.I.P. Kenny, Old Dirt Road is one of the members that made this such a great place to visit.
I am saddened to hear this about Kenny, who I only got to meet in person once (ABB Chastain '08 get-together).
He was a friendly and musically open-minded soul, who was the only one who could abide that Candlemass dude.
Took me a while, but just figured out who also had a 7-31 birthday. HughDuty. Two good ones gone.

Sad news. 59 is way to young! I just searched the Forum as a way down memory lane. I was reminded how ODR was one of the best contributors this board ever had from 2002 to the end of 2012, which appears to be his last post here. I know a lot of discussion here moved to Facebook as the band wound down. Where does time go? RIP Kenny.

I think Kenny was everyone's first friend on here. I am in shock reading this.
I have been going through a ton of boxes. Last night, I came across a "KENNY PILE", When Kenny would send me discs, he sent 100. LOL - I am not kidding. And every disc came with handwritten notes. Was reading a pile of them while listening to one of the hundred UFO cd he sent.
This sucks. ODR was one of the guys who made me come on here. Some of his stories caused near seizures from laughter. The classic "Calling His Mom on Acid" story.
Got a message months ago asking me to hop over to FB which I stay away from. We used to pass many PMs here. Missed chatting regularly. He stopped by lurking and would send messages. Another lost opportunity - we all get busy.
He loved music and he loved it all. Didn't matter what genre, he liked something. Always open to new things to. I always had to return some 100 disc package of things for him. Could have named my old burner Kenny.
ODR - Hall Of Famer if there ever was one.
This site has some of the worst luck for losing The Best People.
Saw this at 3 AM after a great night out. Damn.

So saddened by this news, Kenny was one of us from the old site, where I first enjoyed his always humorous and unique input to the conversations. He sure did love his music.

So sorry to see this ............ I knew from Facebook he had fallen on hard times. I still remember a couple of his stories - some of the funniest stuff I have read here.......... RIP ODR!
My condolences to Kenny's friends and family. From what I gather OldDirtRoad was quite a character, music lover and he really contributed to this community. RIP Kenny
