The greatest living guitarist is reuniting his original band and playing some gigs next year. If you've never seen Steve play, do yourself a favor and catch one of these shows. The man is amazing!!

...and if your sole exposure to Steve Morse is via Deep Purple, you really need to see the Dregs. The Dregs are a much better fit for what Morse has to offer (even though I dig DP).

Jimmy Herring fans should recognize the remarkable impact Morse has had on Herring. I don't think you would HAVE Jimmy Herring as we know him without Steve Morse.

Saw the Dixie Dreggs open for The Brothers in Augusta Ga, 1980 or 1981. brothers were about to pack it in. & were pretty much going thru the motions on stage. Very few tickets were sold in advance. WBBQ announced that if you told 'em @ tic office, that you heard about the show on their station you could get a free ticket for each one you buy, to try and drum up a crowd. 4 of us got in for the price of 2 tickets, about$15. Probably the only time I can truthfully say that I saw The Allman Brothers Band upstaged & outplayed by an opening act. DD rocked it! Morse was all he had been written up to be. The ABB? I left that show wondering if I'd ever see the magic on stage that had been the ABB, 1970 thru 1974 again? Thankfully, the Dreams box set happened, which brought 20th anniv tour to support it, and the rest is history. July 1991, 10 years later. Greenville SC. when we heard fisrt few bars of slide from Warren and Gregg wailed "Wake up Momma, turn your lamp down low!" the real sound of the ABb was back with a vengeance!

100%. First thing I thought when I listened to the Dixie Dregs for the first time.

Very excited about this - 80’s Dregs show was one of my all time Top 10 shows. Saw them reunited once before in NYC (at Irving Plaza I think) but don’t recall how the show was. I will be at Town Hall for this one.

Crazy fun fact about the drummer, he is also the drummer of the 80's rock band Winger!! I love that
