I'm a huge fan of Luther and Cody. The Dickinson Bro's rank up there in the Top 10 of Musical Bro's. The Everly's and Allman's got some company fo' sho'. Throw in Mr. James Dickinson and you've got a family dynasty. Jim D' played piano on some of the Stones classics besides his producing some boogie from the south. The Dickinson Family resume has got clout. They say World Boogie is coming, Nah... Folks, let me tell you it's been here for decades. Luther stated in Brooklyn how the NMA themselves have been contributing since 1996. I literally love these guys and appreciate what they've brought musically from their corner of the world to my corner of the world.

The North Mississippi Allstars new album disc is one of the finest they've laid down, It's titled Up And Coming and it's beautiful. It's got some gems and special tracks with special guests. Mavis Staples sounds ageless, Jason Isbell and Duane Betts join in for their appearance on a stellar version of Mean Ol' World (Derek and the Dominoes got nuthin' on this shared vocals and leads version). They bring the icons of their youth and families of to contribute to this new disc *that AllMusic review is a GREAT read). Check it out. I grabbed the baseball jersey (for Mama) and new disc (for us both) at the show and man great tunes.

Here's some quality info from an AllMusic review of the new disc, the bands homepage (inc' the current must see tour), and a few videos from the Brooklyn Bowl. Get some love and give some back. The tour is in it's early stages, check out the tour page and make a memory to cherish. The infectious love and vibe being emitted from the stage is bound to grab ya!

Thanks so much for the post. You can count me in as a fan! Been too long since I've seen them though but thanks to your tour link I just found out that on February 14th they are at Felton Music Hall, a funky place out in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Already planning on that one.
