I went to see them last night in Chicago. It was in a very intimate venue. No opener.

They opened with a funky version of "Sitting on Top of the World which was really cool. The rest of the show was okay. I have seen them probably 12-15 times and this was probably my least favorite show. I don't mean that to sound like an indictment of them or anything, it's just that I have seen them better. The musianship was of course top notch. They have a three piece band which is normal.

The bass player I have never seen before but the guy can flat out play! Most of the show was all Luther. My favorite parts were when Cody would sing, actually. He did a few neat little tricks. Also they did a tune where Luther and the bass player switched sides of the stage and the bass player played lead guitar and did the lead vocals (he can sing) and Luther played bass. I never knew Luther played bass.

My problem with the show was that almost every song sounded the same. Luther seemed to play the same way on everything. When I left with my wife she said that and I was somewhat surprised but I agreed.

But all in all, it was enjoyable and I would go see them any chance I get.
