Thanks for this. This sounds so much more crisp than anything on Peakin At the Beacon. Not sure this lineup sounded any better than this one right there. I think if they had done a better selection of performances and sound mix, Peakin could have been a good record.

I saw this lineup of the band 4 times (2 times Summer '99, once Beacon 2000, and spring 2000). All but one were really good concerts (though the tapes weren't always as consistent after the fact). I saw the final show May 7, 2000 with Dickey but I've intentionally never sought out a recording. It was a fun show and that was how I want to remember it!

Thanks for posting. The whole band was on. Gregg was in good voice, the Cat in the Hat rocked that rhythm, his leads intertwined with Derek's with some real fire, and Derek was very much summoning his most Allmansy playing. That was a treat. I'm going to watch it again!!

Thanks for posting this. Which show was it from?

I first saw the Allmans as a teenager with my mom who is also a fan of the Allmans, on that tour in the summer of 1999.
