They're teasing us now. I suspect we might see Atlanta Pop sooner than later.

Very interesting, Duane is using a green bottleneck. I’ve only ever seen pics of him using a Coricidin bottle. So good to see new footage.

Thank you for posting! I get the chills seeing brother Duane play the slide on this, even though I've listened to the Atlanta Pop Fest CD a thousand times.

Can SOMEBODY on this website please answer the following questions:

Why aren't both ABB concert performances at the Atlanta Pop Festival finally released on DVD?
Two years ago, Eddie Kramer said he was remastering these shows for release on DVD in 2019. Where is the DVD Eddie?
Who is the person who is still blocking the release of this? WHY?????????? Can we contact this person and demand that they quit this endless delay? It's been 50 years, just let go dude and let us see this!!!!

Who is behind K & B Archives and how did they get a hold of this video?

It looks like a broken off wine bottle neck

Tremendous!!!!!!

And what's great is that for any video that exists from Atlanta Pop Festival, there is already great audio to go with it. Bring on more!

Wow! Great to see his slide technique at the end. Easy to see where Derrick channels some of his slide playing.

I think our friends in ABB management, Kirk West and Bert Holman, are teasing us regarding a long in the works Duane Allman era DVD project.

GREAT to see this exists, but I have to say it....

Can they hand this over to someone who knows something about film and anamorphic squish and stretch? This is just dumped on Youtube without properly formatting it. That takes 2 extra seconds to correct.

The left is what they're presenting, the right is what it should be. You had ONE JOB!

Damn that was great!

Broken off wine bottle as a slide - unreal.

porkchopbob should be hired. LOL - I always wondered why Duane looks so damn skinny in the vids.

That's odd. The same K & B Archive account has other Atlanta Pop footage still up.

The low-res anamorphic format of the footage makes me suspect it was intended for a dvd. The Youtube account, K & B (which seems to be a reference to the defunct New Orleans-based pharmacy chain) has a variety of music docs and TV performances, even a ripped Larkin Poe live stream. Makes me doubt they are the source of the footage, and the owner likely flagged it. (EDIT: it even says the Allman Brothers flagged it)

This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Allman Brothers Band.

K&B are not who some seem to think I guess. Wish it was and it meant they had a bunch to unleash on us.

Maybe they do.

At this point in time, just who is the Allman Brothers Band?.....Who makes the decisions for a band that is no longer together?...With Dickey and Jaimoe the only remaining members appearing in the video, do they have a say as to what gets released?

It was never those two that was opposed to old stuff being released so they are likely all for it.

Business dealings are not all that simple as there are many management teams involved depending on the era.

Like most successful bands, it is is a business entity. From what I've read, Dickey, Gregg, Jaimoe, and Butch all had a stake, with the band's business manager, Bert Holman, making decisions. I don't presume to know the details of how they specifically operate, but I imagine everyone (or their estates) has their say (along with the other surviving "sidemen" if it relates to them). It sounded like Gregg's business manager was left in charge of his material.

If the ABB LLC doesn't want their material bootlegged on some music collector's Youtube page, it's certainly their right. It's pretty cut and dry to me.

"Bootlegged" Kind of peculiar; money to be made here when they release this in 2072
Cool

Complete Allman Brothers' Atlanta Pop Fest Film, the ""truth" about JFK", and the final 2020 Presidential election count - all coming in 2072! 😉
