New to me at least. These guys have roots in 1980s Rush, Queensryche, latter day Iron Maiden: melodic prog metal.

Thanks to Facebook, I had a former student contact me, and it turn out that this is his band. I'd be impressed by them even if I didn't like the guy. While this is not my typical choice of music, it is VERY skillful, well-crafted stuff, obviously in particular if you like prog metal, maybe with a splash of Alannis Morisette in.

The band is just Randy (my old student) and his wife, and they write and play and produce all of it, and make their own videos. Very impressive.

This one, "Replica," is a little heavier but still melodic. Cool guitar hooks. It does have some bits with the modern metal "Cookie Monster" vocals:
