"This complaint is not intended to disrespect the rights and opinions of American citizens, who are free to support the candidate of their choosing," Young's lawyers wrote in the complaint, which was filed on Tuesday in the Southern District of New York and posted on the artist's website.

"However, Plaintiff in good conscience cannot allow his music to be used as a 'theme song' for a divisive, un-American campaign of ignorance and hate."

I love Neil. Keep on rockin' in the free world.

It's an interesting case, actually.

https://news.avclub.com/neil-young-is-actually-suing-donald-trump-for-playing-h-1844611201

Young considered suing Trump for using his music in 2016, but decided against it because it’s apparently common for campaign venues to preemptively get public performance licenses from ASCAP and BMI—meaning Trump could’ve indirectly had Young’s permission to use his songs at rallies anyway.

Apparently, though, ASCAP and BMI are starting to allow artists to bar their music from being used for political purposes, so there’s a chance that the Trump campaign having a public performance license wouldn’t even hold up in front of a judge. Nobody has really addressed that in court yet, though, because these cases usually get settled quickly (since it’s in nobody’s best interest to drag a suit like this out past campaign season).

Tweety Bird Trump:
@Neilyoung’s song, “Rockin’ In The Free World” was just one of 10 songs used as background music. Didn’t love it anyway."

Why use a song you don't love? What a bully.

Trump doesn't care what Neil Young does. Dozens of people and the Democratic Party is suing the Donald right now...all the Lynyrd Skynyrd and NASCAR fans love Trump. But the president is a 5th Avenue YANKEE. Almost as odd if they all were big Liberace fans and collected pictutes of his outfits! Neil Young should remember a southern band doesn't need you around anyhow.

Hope Biden doesn't pick a socialist green new deal defund the police commie for VP so I can vote for him. I'll vote for four more years of Circus World before I'll vote for defund the police, green new deal, open borders, high taxes, no internal combustion engines. Do you really think AOC will see the Hell's Angels on electric motorcycles ???? It was Rodney Dangerfield who said "I have nothing but bad luck. Yesterday I topped a hill in my Mercedes and found myself behind 25 Hell's Angels. And suddenly my horn stuck!?!

Be proud you're a rebel because the south is going to do it again!!!! Yeeeehaw!! Play that fiddle Charlie!

Republicans are reluctant to change, even if the change practically guarantees better outcomes for them. Point of fact: The coal industry is dying. Trump promised coal jobs; Hillary Clinton offered training to learn coding, software testing, etc. Coal Country spat in Clinton's face for her forward thinking and they all voted for Trump who has produced no coal jobs for them. And now Cletus and his buddies are sitting around on the porch in Hogs Holler, KY., smoking generic cigarettes, swilling Mountain Dew and collecting welfare. And Cletus is still cursing the "damn liberals" for making his life hell.

Of course Cletus is. Maybe Cletus' sons and daughters could learn coding and software testing etc but NOT Cletus. Its just too damn fangled and more complicated than what is under the hood of these news cars.

Hillary said she was going to build 500,000 solar energy farms and run the coal industry out of business. Those were fighting words that even Democrat politicians in coal country had to reject.

Bernie Sanders warned the thousands in the fracking industry he would shut them down and they would have to find jobs doing something else like it or not so in the primaries earlier this year they voted for Biden who said he would not end fracking but would end new leases on public land but they could keep what they had.

I don't think Cletus was stupid at all for rejecting Hillary. Just said she would run out the industry that Cletus and his father before him used to put food on the table and a TV in the living room to watch The Grand Old Opry, NASCAR and Championship Wrestling.
