Anyone ever been to this ?

Today, the U. S. cherry industry produces more than 650 million pounds of tart and sweet cherries each year.
Much of the cherry production is concentrated in Michigan and the Northwest.
Michigan grows about 75 percent of the tart cherry crop.
Oregon and Washington harvest about 60 percent of the sweet cherry crop.
Other states with commercial cherry crops are Utah, Wisconsin, New York, Pennsylvania and California.

If there is such a thing as a bucket list, this is on mine, along with a lot more touring around the Great Lakes, which very well could be done at the same time.

The Blue Angels also have a show at the same time. I have been there during that and it is something to see. those jets come ripping up and down the lakefront maybe 100 feet off the water.

I've never attended the festival, but Traverse City is a great place to visit, as long as you budget plenty of cash for food and beverages.

I have never been to the Cherry Fest, BUT over the last 15-20yrs we usually vacation in NW Mich and the Upper Peninsula . Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor(Glen Lake is awesome!)Charlevoix,Ludington,Pentwater,Beaver Island,Leland,Torch Lake,Crystal Lake,Bellaire.
If you really want to get "out there" and away from it ,the UP is beautiful. Could not recommend it more. Would love to move there, but wife wont let me!! 😉
