:::wife runs up on stage and kisses me, we both jump and down and clap:::

do I pick the next question?

This band was named after a temperance union. It had 2 different formations - the Leader, Singer/songwriter for the 1st 2 albums (and their biggest hit) had to leave and do community service because he was a conscientious objector during the VietNam war. They were around for a while, maybe longer.
The band for the next few albums had 2 guitar players, pedal steel, bass, and drums. They were pickin' to beat the devil and offered to fix the flat tire of a famous country singer.

The premise was supposed to be the "correct& answer got to do the next question. So there were not multiple questions at one time. If folks are kewl with it and having fun, let's roll with it.

I had a two pack of correct replys, so I'm gonna toss one out on the playground.

1 member of a top 70's band
1 member of a top 80's band
The band name more akin to a 60's TV show

My most famous solo is from a band I wasn't even in on an instrument I seldom played.

What is Jerry Garcias' most popular solo that even the mainstream can recognize.

"Teach Your Children Well"

My most famous solo is from a band I wasn't even in on an instrument I seldom played.

Learned something cool, thanks!

1 member of a top 70's band:
1 member of a top 80's band:
The band name more akin to a 60's TV show:

The Second Coming - Dickey Betts (ABB) and Reese Wynans (Double Trouble)

Some of these guesses check all the boxes. There were a lot of TV shows in the 1960s. Are we talking Star Trek or Bonanza or the Dick Cavett Show?

Second Coming was a 60's band so no box check there.
Other guesses were different eras of same bands, no box check there either.

I will say that one of the three 60's TV you mentioned is what I was referring to .

Actually, you don’t specify when this band in question is from, just that 2 guys were also in popular 70s and 80s bands 😉

Here is a clue, the band in question was a side project, never toured, and released an SO in 1983.
