I apologize if this has been covered before, it's a question I ask people at different concerts.
My most grateful, bearing in mind I got to see Son House and Freddie King, Tommy Bolin.
Actually slopped into that by accident. Went to see Johnny Winter, either December '73 or January '74 and one of the supporting acts was The James Gang, when Tommy was a member.
Most disappointed, not even a close second to Duane. Missed him by five months.

Grateful to have seen my favorite singer Gregg Allman 27 times , not bad considering he only played Alberta once , also grateful to have seen SRV , Muddy when I was 18 , Zappa , Tom Petty , Son Seals , Albert King , Albert Collins , James Brown , Grateful Dead , Thin Lizzy .
Disappointed I didn't see Rory Gallagher, I was to young to see many of my favorites but old enough to see Rory and never did .
I got to see Berry once, but never saw Duane.
Roy Orbison played The Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA in 1987. I thought of going to but for some reason just didn't, thinking I'd catch him next time. One year later he was dead of a heart attack at only 52 years old. I never saw him. Also regret never seeing Stevie Ray Vaughan and The Clash. I had
multiple chances to see both.
Ones I'm really glad to have seen: Miles Davis (three times), Muddy Waters (twice), Chuck Berry (once).

Elton John (specifically the 2 times he played the Tabernacle in Atl (later saw him do a great festival set)
My first thoughts kind of surprised me- Most grateful to have seen Doc and Merle Watson at a really intimate setting in a barn somewhere near Uconn...and I kick myself for never seeing Johnny Winter, and although I saw Les Paul perform twice, I wished I had gone to see one of his weekly shows at the Iridium... good post!
Wish I had been concert going age in the 70s and 80s. Being my first concert was 1993 and I was a little late to the party on some bands I missed some things.
I don't regret not seeing the Grateful Dead with Jerry, but do wish I had seen Jerry solo (although don't think he play near me in the later years). Wish I had gone to see Plant & Page also. I don't know what year my first Mule show was, but it wasn't with Allen Woody and I know there were times they came nearby that I didn't go. And I would've liked to have seen Dio and AC/DC but for some reason I never went. I was pretty big into Nirvana in high school, but didn't go see them - would've been fun.
Happy I saw the ABB so many times in so many different venues and states, the first show being 1996. I saw Gregg solo a handful of times, but the last time I saw him April 2016 is really special now with his death just over a year later. Seeing Pink Floyd twice in 1994 was cool, but seeing Gilmour at Chicago Auditorium remains a lifetime highlight! I really didn't get into the Eagles much until recently. Seeing them in 2015, their 5th to last show with Glenn Fry, their first set was really great. Maybe something else I am forgetting.
So grateful I got to witness the genius of Duane Allman in '71.
So disappointed I didn't get to witness the genius of Jimi, Janis and Mike Bloomfield

The Clash: I had tickets and got a 104 fever in college and had to miss it. Never saw them.

Starting in the early 70's saw B.B. King ,Zappa, J. Giles, Alice Cooper, Miles, then on a Saturday
night in July of 74 saw The Brothers at the Boston garden and my whole music listing life changed forever. Walked around with a smile on my face for weeks could not believe how that music made me feel. Be hooked since. now, Mule,Derek, Susan etc..
Regrets, DUANE, Jimi, Ray Charles, James Brown. , Etta James.

I started seeing concerts in 1982, so the great stuff from the 1960s / 1970s was never in the cards for me. But, when I think of bands or people no longer with us.....
I'm most grateful for having seen Gregg Allman, for having seen the Allmans in the 1980s and 1990s with Gregg and Dickey together. I'm also glad I got to see the Dead a number of times back then.
I'm certainly grateful to have seen the Who with Entwistle in the 1980s and 1990s, and The Replacements in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Heck, I am grateful to be alive at a time when I get to see Derek Trucks, Wilco, and Steve Hackett, my 3 favorite touring artists, at pretty small places. Back in the 1980s, I was always seeing bands in arenas or stadiums. It was a zoo. I can't believe how lucky I am to constantly see theater shows now.
I certainly did not get to see a number of amazing musicians who were before my time, but of the artists that I coulda woulda shoulda seen but missed out on in my concert-going prime for dumb reasons, I think Stevie Ray Vaughn probably takes the cake.

and to add most Disappointed seeing; Joe Cocker-a few yrs aft woodstock,pissed drunk and stumbling onstage, Sly Stone-Stoned out of his mind is right, T-Rex-bunch of confusion and drunk/stoned people onstage (opening act & unknown Doobie Bros saved the show though)

My regrets are for those who I blew the chance to see, and Duane is on the top of the list. I had planned on going to see the Allmans in Painters Mill Playhouse while in college. The friend I was gonna go with did not have the $10 for a ticket, and I did not want to go by myself. I only realized a few years back that it was Duane's last public show.
I missed Johnny Johnson, but that was his fault, since he died and the show for which I had tickets was cancelled.
My favorite regret story was from someone who had a ticket to the Tampa Derek and the Dominoes show with Duane. He did something to piss his mother off, and she would not let him go.
