I have recently begun looking at Music movies that are on Amazon Prime. There are a number of good ones out there and you can learn a lot about the artist/band from them. I have viewed films on Duane Allman, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter and others. Last night I watched the Allman Brothers. The movie was post Duane and offered many insights into the changes in the band and the turmoil within. I highly recommend it if you haven't already seen it and it's made by the same people that made the Duane bio, Song of the South. It also features Al Paul as a band historian which is cool to put the words with a face. I plan on watching many more as there seems to be quite a few and if you have Amazon prime they are free. If any of you have seen it let me know what you think. I knew very little about the Dan Toler period nor did i know much about the solo tours of Gregg and Dickie. Most of you know more than me as i stopped following them for a long time after Duane died.

With netflix, youtube, and amazon giving us access, we live in the golden age of music documentaries. There is a ton of good stuff out there.

There is one out on Rahsaan Roland Kirk called "The Case of the Three-Sides Dream":
