Anybody see this?

Gov’t Mule have announced a special run of September U.S. tour dates with American rock pioneers ZZ Top. Influenced by their trailblazing career, Gov’t Mule will share the bill with a band that helped inspire their own musical journey as they forged the path to becoming legendary rockers in their own right. Pre-sale tickets for the run will be available this Wednesday, May 18 at 12pm ET.

Sep. 9 // Jones Beach in Wantagh, NY
Sep. 11 // Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, PA
Sep. 13 // Pier Six Pavilion in Baltimore, MD
Sep. 14 // Koka Booth Amphitheater at Regency Park in Cary, NC
Sep. 15 // Celebrate Virginia After Hours in Fredericksburg, VA
Sep. 17 // Rosemont Theatre in Rosemont, IL (Pre-Sale 6/1)
Sep. 18 // Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in Maryland Heights, MO
Sep. 20 // Starlight Theatre in Kansas City, MO

The news comes on the heels of the band’s announcement of a new archival album entitled The Tel-Star Sessions out August 5th via Evil Teen Records and features a cover of ZZ Top's "Just Got Paid." The LP consists of the band’s very first, and never-before-released, demos made in June 1994 at Tel-Star Studios in Bradenton, Florida. These newly mixed and mastered recordings feature the original line-up – Warren Haynes, Allen Woody and Matt Abts – and capture the rawness and excitement of the earliest days of Gov’t Mule.

Yup.
Hope we get Billy to sit in with the Mule for a Brazo's
or Warren to sit in with ZZ for a Jesus Just Left Chicago or a Nast Dogs & Funky Kings. Cool

More likely he would sit in for Brazo's and 'Just Got Paid' which is on that new Telstar sessions album they are releasing in August. Any of those would be cool though.

That's too bad. Although I don't like Rosemont, I might actually go up there for this.

How can I not go? They are playing right here in Fredericksburg. I've been pretty fortunate in that they played Macon (of course) when I lived there and they played Iowa City when I lived there.

Two weeks after this years' Fredericksburg show they will be just outside of Richmond in Glen Allen at Innsbrook After Hours. That's a large office park with a central outdoor amphitheater area. Last years' experience there was a rain out. One of those rainouts where they see an approaching storm and evacuate everyone with the promise of the music beginning again after the "air to ground" lighting stops. Of course the cops just cleared the parking lot.

So I'm going to hold out on that show until I can check the weather forecast.
