Mule shows postponed??

Check out mule net ??

Medical emergency

After waiting for so long, we were excited to be together and finally make these shows happen, the last thing we wanted or expected was to have to postpone again, but it was an unavoidable situation.
Please keep holding on to those tickets, and we’ll update you soon with more info. Wishing you all a safe and happy holiday.

I got symptoms just after Thanksgiving. Made the mistake of getting back to normal too soon. Got really sick with bodyache/flu type. Still not 100%. I understand Warren was under the weather for the Christmas Jam. Get well soon Warren. This was a tough one for me and I never complain.

Latest from Susan Tedeschi Fan Page on Facebook is that Warren is in the hospital. I'm guessing a bad case of COVID. I worked in hospitals for 27 years and was treating COVID at the tail end. I can tell you that even with COVID you do not get admitted unless it is serious. Insurance companies have been running the show for many years and they have very stringent requirements before they are going to pay up.
LOVE YOU WARREN BROTHER

Man hope it not COVID as it would have to be serious to warrant a hospital stay.
Warren has to be one of the hardest working musicians in rock today as the man is always touring with the Mule, guesting with other bands and recording. Maybe he just wore himself down.
Not the way you want to get a break but hopefully he will be recharged once he recovers.
Sending positive vibes out for a fast recovery to our brother Warren.

@bill_graham Understand Warren was admitted to the hospital. Very sick but not sure what with. The album rock station here didn't say what the ailment is.
New Years Eve healing vibes for Warren!!

Latest update is pneumonia from the flu.

I don't understand why some might assume he has COVID. Because of a Facebook post? On a fan page? Who knows?
Maybe he does. Maybe not. Whatever it is we all obviously wish for the best.
Everything in Moderation. Including Moderation.

Photoron posted that it's pneumonia. And I heard this only an hour ago from a reliable source in the Bay area whom I trust: "Pneumonia is confirmed. Might go home today." If they're thinking about discharging him that is GREAT news. Yes, pneumonia can be VERY serious. Just like COVID, there are different degrees of pneumonia. When I said I thought he had COVID I was only guessing.
Warren, rest up brother and take care of yourself. DON'T OVERDUE IT MAN. Not worth it. We don't need another Tom Petty scenario, who died because he refused to slow down and take care of himself. His hip was so bad he was limping to walk out onstage. Dedication to your art is a wonderful thing. But no one should ever let it get in the way of their own health.

My sources were Sue Sanderson and Susan Tedeschi's profile page.
I trust both to know wott's going on.

Does anybody have any update on Warren? The silence has me a little worried. Prayers for Brother Warren.

@kprestn712 According to the Genius website which tracks celebrities, Warren was on vacation in Costa Rica where he fell on a wet surface and broke a shoulder causing Warren to cancel December and January performances.
I don't know if that is accurate. I doubt it is.

Nope, that happened last Spring. Warren reportedly is currently is in the hospital with the flu, according to his own press releases. It's best to not read, let alone repeat reports from trashy gossip websites.

11 days until Island Exodus.

Warren out for Island Exodus recovering from Covid and flu complications - but the show going on with an all-star cast filling in:

Must have been pretty sick.
Get well brother

So happy to read Warren's note to the fans. Covid plus influenza A. I'm sure he was very sick. So glad he is home now.
I've had the opportunity to chat with Warren several times over the years but all before the year 2000. The first time was a club in Winston Salem, NC when the Dickey Betts band played there in 1988. Matt on drums. First I had heard of either one and both men were friendly and walked over to the bar to hang with the crowd between sets.
Warren played very well. I was impressed with him straight away on lead and slide. I believe he played a silver color Paul Reed Smith guitar that night.
Saw a show from his 1993 solo tour and the first Mule tour in 1994 and many Mule shows over the years.
I'm a big Warren fan! Glad he's doing better and coming back!!

Gov't Mule is my favorite band and Warren is my favorite musician by a country mile currently so I was really concerned when I read he was in the hospital.
I discovered the Mule about 15 years ago and can't get enough of their live music so really look, forward to their annual tours and concerts around New England every year.
It just wouldn't feel like summer for me without seeing the Mule under the stars at a local venue here.
Glad to hear Warren is home recuperating and hope to see the Mule out on the road in 2023.

Wonder how Mule org is handling refund requests in the wake of the announcement of Warren's absence?

The show is still going on with some great new guests filling in for Warren in the Mule.
I am sure some will be dissapointed that Warren will not be there but it sounds like it will be an amazing experience with Scofield, Osborne, Freed, Greene, etc.
If I was still single and had the $$$ I would be there in a heartbeat.

@bill_graham I saw and got to speak with Warren on his solo tour in 1993. First time was in 1988 with a show by the Dickey Betts Band. Matt Apts was the drummer. Before that show and Pattern Disruptive I had never heard of Warren.
Bought the first Gov't Mule album and first saw the Mule in 1994. Warren, Allen and Matt. The only ABB songs they played that night was Kinda Bird.
Been a fan of Gov't Mule ever since. They always have a good show.
I know Warren did the right thing by staying off the road as he apparently was rather sick.

You are a lucky man rd getting to see the Mule right from the start. I did not get into them until after Allen Woody passed away so never got to see the 3 man band with him.
You have probably seen this video from 1995 but I believe it is some of the earliest video of the Mule. I have the bootleg DVD of this and it has two shows from the Cotton Club. Not bad quality for a single camera shoot
Also highly recommend sugarmeg for audio of old Mule shows. They even have the very first Mule show there. You can download the concerts if you are into that. They are MP3 quality and one long track but great to hear the old Woody era concerts.

@bill_graham Hey thanks!! Yes I saw the 3 man Mule about a dozen times. Always in clubs and later theatres. They almost quit after Allen passed.
Once Warren Haynes said Jeff Beck was his favorite guitar player and that he had pretty much stopped using a pick. I have a DVD of the Jeff Beck tribute to Les Paul show at the small club in Manhattan where Les played regularly in his last years. A couple of times I can see Warren in the audience.
Warren has tweeted about Jeff!

Looked like a pretty fun first night. Haven't talked to my buddy who is there yet.

Wow!, Thanks for posting this, a great setlist and mix of guest musicians. Warren was missed for sure but looks like they still put on an epic set. Might have to buy the downloads for these shows if they offer them as they will be unique in Gov't Mule history. Sort of like the Brothers MSG concert.

Wowser.
