Listening to Blue Sky right now. Some guy named Greg White has most of the 2nd set up on his facebook page. Jack just about bringing tears to my eye on Blue Sky as I write this. Mule fans just going gaga over this show on facebook.

Great video, thanks. Warren has to make some adjustments early and then they smoke it.

Wife and I attended. Stunningly beautiful day in Macon and a vibrant scene downtown. Macon crowd is always fun and always a lot of characters...yesterday no exception, lol! Light crowd I’d say, but made for plenty of room on the floor...gorgeous venue. Warren was in exceptional voice...grinning in ur face was powerful. Killer 1st set old school...grinning>mule>RHorse. Thorns of Life was fire...certainly one of the strongest tunes off the new album. Well...what can u say? The second set was an all-timer. We chose Macon cuz we figured we’d hear Dreams...ABB being gone makes these opportunities significant. After plowing through Kind of Bird and all its twists and turns...they set up extra gear. We were giddy cuz we knew something was up but when we saw Jack casu stroll up we lost it...this was gonna be sick! What transpired was incomprehensible. The obligatory Soulshine, which was tremendous...allowed Jack to warm up. Then church bells were ringin everywhere. Place went apeshit. Jack took Duane’s solo and fired it into Skydog land. Sublime. Everything else was as ud imagine...VERY intense and inspired on such hallowed grounds. Jacks staggering virtuosity pushing Haynes...face melting stuff. Mesmerizing. Playing w fire and reverence. We all know this but Jack is just st beastly on the six string...some of these single note sustain stuff he did...All u could do was stare. Lastly...as I mentioned earlier, Haynes was in tremendous voice and it really shined during Melissa. Then the segue. They veered into about 15 minuets of Mountain Jam that featured some of the best Jackie P stuff I could ever fathom. A master-class in searing improv...then back to Earth will a beautifully executed segue back to Melissa with Matt Abts right on cue. Hugs all around w strangers/family. We walked out misty-eyed to the lullaby that is Little Martha...felt like old times. Thanks Warren...and thank you Brother Duane Allman.

Sounds like a amazing show especially having 2 amazing guitar players like that on a stage. I have always wondered why Jack doesn't record an album with Warren or Derek.

Thanks for posting....Sounds amazing, even on youtube and through my shitty computer speakers.

Jack is sooo smooth and laid back and makes it look so easy. I just love his tone and attitude if that's the right word. I was lucky enough to see him with the ABB on the one tour he was part of (At least I think he only did one tour) at the NYS State Fair in Syracuse, NY way back in the day. Such a talent.

Warren/Woody finished their time with the ABB upon the end of the '97 Beacon run. Jackie P (and Oteil) joined to do the summer '97 and summer '98 tours, and Jack also the March '99 Beacon run before quitting.

The '97 tour was very good, but holy smokes did they go to the next level for the '98 tour. And the '99 Beacon run was off the charts. Among the better Beacon runs in the band's career (nothing could compare to 2009 though).

Always sounds better with a little bit of Jack!
His playing is effortless and beautiful. Was able to meet him at a show at the Ridgefield playhouse in ct with Les Brers in September before Butch died. They did Blue Sky that night as well.
