Unless i overlooked it i was surprised to find out that this announcement from 6 days ago hasn't been posted yet on HTW Anything Goes.....so here you go:

01.13.16 MOUNTAIN JAM ANNOUNCES 2016 LINEUP

Mountain Jam returns to Hunter Mountain for its 12th turn as the leading rock and camping festival in the Northeast, with the announcement of the 2016 artist line up - including some of the best live performers, modern day songwriters and a slew of recent Grammy nominees and winners.

Headlining the increasingly musically diverse festival are Beck, Wilco, The Avett Brothers and Umphrey's McGee, who join perennial Mountain Jam co-headliner Gov't Mule.

This year's Festival also will feature a late night set by Thievery Corporation, as well as performances by Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell, guitar slinger Gary Clark Jr., Mountain Jam favs Michael Franti & Spearhead (returning for their eleventh annual appearance), Chris Robinson Brotherhood, indie-rock sensation Courtney Barnett, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Lettuce (performing an evening and a late night set), Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, The New Mastersounds (playing late night on the indoor stage), reggae legends Third World, and many red-hot emerging artists who are gracing the Mountain Jam stage before they become household names - something that has become a tradition with up-and-coming performers at the Festival.

Hmm, not to rain on anyone's parade but there are only four bands on the whole list I would want to see. And only one within the top four (obviously Mule). Hope those going enjoy the diverse lineup.

Everything in Moderation. Including Moderation.

Wow, I love this lineup. It might be the best festival lineup that I have seen announced.

I've seen the New Mastersounds: amazing!

Wilco is up there with the TTB as far as most fulfilling live musical experiences for me.

Love the Mule obviously, and Chris Robinson is great too.

Winner!!

This is a great line-up, imo. The kind of different line-up that Wanee should strive to present.
I agree with an earlier post, this may be the best list of bands for a festival on the east coast, this year. If I didn't have to buy VIP RV tickets to get close to the venue, I would attend. I'm too old to not have my RV within walking distance. I hope this year's Mt Jam is a big success. I love that Warren puts on this show.

...in your opinion. Not to beat a dead horse, or become argumentative, WILCO, Avett Bros, Beck, not to mention many other bands, is just so refreshing compared to the recycled Dead bands, Dead cover bands, bluegrass infused Dead cover bands, etc... No more Widespread, either... I can appreciate them, very much. I personally have had enough of the same old, same old. IMO, Warren took the right approach to Mt Jam. I go to a lot of festivals, year after year. My perspective is different from some folks because of that. I understand and appreciate that. If you want to see Dead spin-off bands & Widespread every year, you can do, and they will be great.

Solid lineup.

I thought last year, just having Robert Plant , was the icing on the cake.

Weakest Mountain Jam lineup I can recall for my taste. Gov't Mule, Umphrey's, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, and Lettuce the only 4 acts I could muster much enthusiasm for. No interest in any of the 3 "headliners".

Looks pretty good to me.. festival line ups in the UK wouldnt feature the bands on this one.. Not fussed about Wilco or Beck. But Mule, Umphrey's Chris Robinson, Lettuce would be my choice. 🙂

I have a question for those that have attended this before. My wife has no interest in camping. Are there any hotels in the area that people can recommend?

Not too keen on these. Seems lots like this line-up anyway. Hope Peachfests' Line-up meets expectations. Looking forward to the warm camping weather & usually diverse line-up.
