Montreal 1971

Perhaps I missed it, but when did this surface?

Thanks, never heard the original Brothers tease Layla, I’d like to hear that whole recording

There is a vine in the Music area of the Forum that has been going for nearly a year and a half of the entire show.
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

Thanks Oldcoot - this show escaped me somehow and I am from there.
Is it any good?

Well, there's a description in the Music/Vines area of this Forum including the entire setlist. Probably will answer any questions.

To quote the fine gentleman who presented us with this .....
This is a rough sounding audience source of lesser quality that has chatter, some foul language and has only one really tremendous thing going for it … the original line-up of the Allman Brothers Band!!! It’s a fairly standard set, but, there are a couple of nice wrinkles to it, because you just never knew where Duane might take the band on any given night.
CD1
Statesboro Blues
Trouble No More
Don’t Keep Me Wonderin’
Done Somebody Wrong
One Way Out
In Memory of Elizabeth Reed
Whipping Post
Jam>Layla tease>Jam>Revival
CD2

You Don’t Love Me

Thanks guys.
Escaped my notice - gave up with the CD trading after accumulating more than I could ever listen to.
ODR used to send them by the crate, LOL - Miss him.
But one of my brothers hangs this show over my head as he was there and I was not.
After some teasing, I will give it to him. It was a show that I gave up on finding for him years ago.
Glad Tori posted - thanks.

The only time that the original band appeared outside of the US - in Montreal,
of all places. Why Jon couldn't have worked Ottawa and/or Toronto into that
swing is forever a mystery. I was disappointed that none of the Allman-related
books mention this gig. Going to Quebec - that had to have been like another
world to these guys back then.
