I'm not talking about old carols, though modern covers are fine. What are your most and least favorite holiday / Christmas songs?

My faves are Tom Petty's "Christmas All Over Again," Keith doing "Run Run Rudolph," and Bruce doing ""Santa Claus Is Coming To Town."

I loath the Dan Fogelberg "Another Auld Lang Syne," though my wife has a good argument that the shoes song is the worst.

Listening to James Taylor's Christmas album now. Pretty good. Cooked yesterday's Christmas jambalaya while listening to Allen Toussaint and Friends "A New Orleans Christmas"... that's top notch music. There is a series called "A Very Special Christmas" that has some fantastic tunes, but there are some snoozers as well.

Merry Christmas folks!

The Phil Spector Christmas Album

Single song - Fairytale of New York - Kirsty MacColl & The Pogues

Worst - Most of the stuff I hear in stores but I'll give it to Last Christmas by Wham!

That Bela Fleck "Jingle Bells" album is insanely good! I just listened on Rhapsody... wow! That medley with "My Favorite Things" thrown in is incredible!

Now I think I'll move on to MoTown Christmas.

I don't get out much during the Christmas year. Haven't listened to Christmas music until yesterday. Now I'm binging and enjoying the hell out of it.

(Saying hell, while referencing Christmas music, has nothing to do with "the War on Christmas". Just Saying. 😉 )

I'm partial to "Run Rudolph Run" by Lemmy Kilminster, Billy Gibbons and Dave Grohl, from the album "We Wish You A Metal Xmas And A Headbanging New Year"...

Play it Loud!!

"Nothing But A Child" by Steve Earle and not to toot my horn but I do a pretty good (and risqué) version of "Merry Christmas Baby."
