Marcus King's Father

Marcus' father plays a very respectable Liz Reed solo right here. Has some elements of the way Dangerous Dan used to play his Liz Reed solo.

Yes I agree. It's a good solo.
The several times I saw Dan Toler play with the Allman Brothers, he played his Liz Reed solo much like a jazz guitarist would do it to me.
Have you seen the Allman Brothers Nashville show from 1986 on You Tube?
Chuck Leavell is excellent through out and Toler .......and Dickey also somewhat, play more like jazz guitarists. A lot of fast double stroke runs without string bends and vibrato. Danny does it more than Dickey but both guitarists are fast and clean. It's a good show dispite the fact they used rotating bass players. The ABB only did two shows in 1986 and Gregg and Dickey's solo band's bass players split the songs.
Check out what Dickey does at the end of his Liz Reed solo. He turns around and faces the drummers and Butch immediately picks up the tempo but Jaimoe does not. So Dickey moves over in front of Jaimoe's kit starring right at him. Jaimoe suddenly sees Dickey right in front of himself and shifts his tempo up a notch too. Then Dickey brings his solo to a close and it's on to the drum break.
