Marc Cohn is a "loving" favorite at the City Winery chain. He was told by the owner Michael Dorf that this was his 50th Winery appearance, his 15 at the NY location. I finally took my wife to one of his annual Valentine's Day shows in NY. Fun show with Chelsea Williams as the opener/guest. She came out in the middle to play 3 of her own tunes and join Marc for 3 others. Great voice on this young lady. Sadly I was a little off kilter in more ways than one. I love the City Winery. I know some folks aren't fans of the venue and said it's too cramped. Only on the floor in f/o the stage is there a lack of elbow room issue. Upstairs in the VIP it's roomier. If I had one complaint it's the people who go to shows and yap. Completely rude seeing it is such an intimate room. When the artists are at a low volume and bozos talk over the music it's foul. The artists are live. it's not a DJ or a jukebox, It's LIVE! Sad the lack of respect for them and the fellow show attenders. Whattayagonna do? "It takes all kinds to make a world".
