This song, by Lukas Nelson & co. with Lady Gaga on back-up vocals, has been playing on the rotating songlist at the bar where I work for the past few months, and I have really enjoyed the heck out of it. I consider it "The Best TTB Song Not Actually Played by TTB" - loose, funky, soulful, grooving, with tasty guitar and really sweet male & female vocals.

I didn't know the actual artists behind it for quite a while, and I did wonder if any of the TTB crew were involved. nope. I have to do my homework and hear more by these folks.

Here's his entire one hour set from Bonnaroo just last summer.

His whole new album (the one Find Yourself is on) is freaking GREAT. Give it a listen. The apple definitely doesn't fall too far from the tree.

I saw Lukas probably 6 or 7 years ago on some day fest where he was earlier in the day with his band and really wasn't all that impressed. He was overplaying and just trying to SRV everything. I spun his most recent record and absolutely love it. Love how he's matured into such a great talent.

I've heard another song or two on WYEP and on XM's Outlaw Country -- they're pretty good too. I'm definitely going to pick up his album.

"Real" country is in a nice state of revival right now, and getting some decent airplay (all things considered).

Oh. And Stapleton’s new album is out. After one listen, it didn’t hit me like the first two, but I still like it. I’ll give it more spins before I really critique.
